Financial Aid

 

To be eligible for federal financial aid, all applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible non-citizens and be enrolled in one of The Collective approved programs. An applicant may not be considered for federal student aid if they have previously defaulted on student loans or have exceeded their annual and/or aggregate student loan limits for a particular award year. There may be other considerations and eligibility requirements for each individual applicant.

 

General Requirements for Receiving Federal Financial Aid

There are several requirements for you to receive federal financial aid; they include:

 

  • Valid Social Security Number
  • U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Males between the ages of 18 and 26 must be registered with Selective Service
  • Maintaining satisfactory academic progress while attending The Collective
  • Satisfactory repayment status of prior Federal student loans
  • Satisfactory payment arrangements of prior Federal grant overpayments
  • Enrolled in an eligible program of study

 

FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) Application

If you are seeking financial aid, you must complete the FAFSA Application This can be done via the Internet by logging onto www.fafsa.ed.gov. In order to submit your application online, you must first apply for a PIN to use as your electronic signature (parents of dependent students must also apply for a PIN). Once you have received your PIN, return to the website to complete your FAFSA and make sure to enter The Collective’s school code: 041315
