Summer Intensive Programs

 

The Collective offers 3 Intensive Programs in the Summer months of June, July, and August. The 3-Week Intensive runs June through July. The 4-week Intensive runs July through August. The 2-Week runs August through September.

3-Week Intensive 2016 date: 

June 20th – July 8th

Tuition/Deposit: The tuition for the 3-Week Intensive is $2,700. Once you are accepted to the program, a deposit of $675 is required to reserve your space. The balance of the program fee of $2,025 is payable by the first day of the program

 

4-Week Intensive 2016 date:

July 18th – August 12th

Tuition/Deposit: The tuition for the Four-Week Intensive is $3,600. Once you are accepted to the program, a deposit of $900 is required to reserve your space. The balance of the program fee of $2,700 is payable by the first day of the program

 

2-Week Intensive 2016 date:

August 22nd – September 2nd

Tuition/Deposit: The tuition for the 2-Week Intensive is $1,800. Once you are accepted to the program, a deposit of $450 is required to reserve your space. The balance of the program fee of $1,350 is payable by the first day of the program.

 

Personal Equipment: Drummers need only bring sticks, and bass & guitarists only their instruments. It is recommended that all students bring a personal metronome, headphones, and a recording device.

 

Program Summary

Each Intensive program includes the following:

  • a weekly reading class
  • a weekly instrumental technique class
  • six style-specific classes in every week including Jazz, Funk, Rock/R&B, Afro-Cuban, Brazilian, and Caribbean
  • a weekly rhythm section with professional musicians.
  • a weekly private lesson
  • a daily individual practice time

Class sizes are limited to 5 students per two-hour classes. The time for larger or smaller classes is pro-rated according to enrollment.
