THE KIM PLAINFIELD SCHOLARSHIP FUND AT THE COLLECTIVE

The Kim Plainfield Scholarship fund has been established to honor the memory of a great musician, teacher and humanitarian, who taught at the Collective from 1979 to 2017.
Potential recipients of this scholarship will be selected from among applicants who show a combination of merit and need. This scholarship shall be open to drum students only.

A Selection Committee consisting of a Collective representative, and member of the Drummers Collective Faculty, and a member of the Plainfield family shall select the annual recipient of this award from amongst the applicants.

The scholarship amount rewarded shall be equal to 1/2 the regular tuition of the program to which the applicant is applying. The minimum period of study applicable to this scholarship shall be one year.

The Collective will match the amount of the scholarship, making the full award equal to the full regular tuition of the program to which the applicant is applying.
The Collective plans on creating a 501 (C) charitable trust to manage the scholarship. At the point at which the trust is established, all contributions will be tax deductible to the fullest extent. Until then, contributions to the scholarship fund will not be tax deductible.
All donations should be made payable to “The Collective”. Please write Kim Plainfield Memorial Fund in the memo line of your check. You may also donate through the PayPal button below.
