Study In-Person with Four Legendary Latin Jazz Mentors!

Latin Jazz is one of the foundational genres every musician should explore. Deeply rooted in Afro-Cuban and Afro-Brazilian Jazz, its mesmerizing rhythms and polyrhythmic grooves can take you on a journey as a listener and expand your playing ability as an artist and musician.

In our 6-week Latin Jazz program, you will work closely with our prestigious mentors who are all active touring musicians and Grammy Award winning artists.

Led by Bob Quaranta (Piano) Juan Mayorga (Drums) Samuel Torres (Afro-Cuban Percussion) and Ricardo Rodriguez (Bass), this course will immerse you in the world of Latin Jazz in an intimate setting.

During this 6-week course, you will meet with your mentor individually, and be paired with other classmates in ensemble groups with guidance and mentorship to apply new playing techniques. This course meets 6 times, once per week in 2-hour sessions. For the first hour, you will work closely with your mentor to explore new techniques and then for the second hour, join your  group to practice as an ensemble, hands-on.

This course is for anyone who wants to learn new techniques or expand their musical vocabulary and apply these techniques to any genre.

  • This class meets 1 x per week on Wednesday evening for 2 hours each week (6-8pm ET)starting September 15, 2021
  • After completing payment, an audition will be required to place you in an ensemble that matches your skill level. This audition can be in-person or you can submit a short 3-5 min video. You will receive further information after you enroll.

Cost: $499

*If signups do not meet our requirements to be matched with an ensemble, you will have the option to wait until the next start date or join private lessons with the mentors for this program
