Collective mentor and master of Brazilian Drumming Adriano Santos will be showing you how to master the diverse and storied tradition of Brazilian music. Through its most iconic and important rhythms, Santos will help you develop and master the sounds found throughout the country’s many styles and take your grooves to the next level!
Studying in ensemble lessons accompanying the likes of the great bassist Ron Carter, Adriano is a working professional who has performed/recorded with top international artists such as Astrud Gilberto, Gal Costa, Leny Andrade, Luciana Souza, Lisa Ono and the great Brazilian Pianist Eumir Deodato just to name a few! Adriano has recently performed with the Vinicius Cantuaria Group, Hendrik Meurkens Samba Jazz Quintet and the Afro-Brazilian band Hanhanhaes.
Adriano has produced publications in specialized drum magazines and has released The Collective style book called, “Afro-Caribbean & Brazilian Rhythms for Drum Set”. Adriano is endorsed by Vic Firth Sticks, Odery Drums and Istanbul Agop Cymbals.
