4-time Grammy Award-Winner Antonio Sanchez is a renowned Mexican-American Jazz Drummer. Best known for his work alongside the likes of world famous musicians Chick Corea, Gary Burton, Michael Brecker, Charlie Haden and Toots Thielmans. Since his move to NYC in 1999, he has been one of the most celebrated and sought-after musicians in the New York Jazz Scene. His drumming style even earned him the spot as lead composer for the critically acclaimed 2014 film Birdman, Which managed to take home not only 4 Academy Awards (Including best picture!), but another Grammy for Sanchez! Since then, His recent projects include the critically acclaimed The Meridian Suite, the star studded album Three Times Three, Grammy-nominated Bad Hombre, Channels of Energy, an ambitious project with the WDR Big Band with arrangements of his works by Vince Mendoza and the most recent 2019 release, Lines in the Sand with his band Migration.
