A graduate of The Collective Global Vision, Alex Cohen is widely considered a modern technical drumming virtuoso. In addition to his role in the Murderhands three-piece, Cohen is one of the busiest drummers in New York City. He regularly performs and records in a wide variety of styles and is well known for his extreme technical capabilities in metal genres. He’s worked with Malignancy, Mac Miller, and National Geographic, to name a few and has written lessons published in Sick Drummer and Drumhead Magazines. His book Ultimate Progressive Drumming serves as foundational material for any drummer aiming to push the boundaries of technical complexity and limb independence in their technique. Stay tuned for his upcoming book release, coauthored with Ramon Montagner, titled Extreme Polyrhythm and Speed Technique.
