By the end of this program, you will:
• Be able to use the Sound Collective Recording Studio with the oversight of an audio engineer
• Learn how to use our 48-Channel SSL console as a control surface
• Learn how to track vocals and instruments
• Understand audio signal flow and playback
Class topics will contain the following:
• The Record-Making Process
• The Physics of Sound and Digital Audio
• Components of Recording, Equipment, and Signal Flow
• Microphone Types and Techniques
• Compression + EQ Basics
• Vocal and Instrument Tracking
Students will complete the following class goals:
• Prepare for the more advanced Multitrack Recording class
• Be able to use the Sound Collective Recording Studio with oversight from a professional audio engineer
