Collective Masters Live is back! For Collective Masters Live events, we bring masters of their craft to share their musical knowledge with our community through detailed performance-based presentations. All Collective Masters Live events can be attended in person at 28 Broadway NYC or online via the live stream. This special Collective Masters Live will be free for everyone to attend.

SoundCollective and Ableton Live are partnering with Multi-Platinum Grammy Nominated composer and Co-Owner of The Rucker Collective Motif Alumni to teach how to use Ableton Live software to write songs with live instruments. Motif Alumni has used Ableton Live software to collaborate with some of the music industry’s top-selling artists. He produced records for acts including Snoop Dogg, Fabolous, Fat Joe, G-Unit, The Lox, and Rod Wave, to name a few. Alongside The Rucker Collective, he has worked with the likes of Drake, J. Cole, Rod Wave, Moneybagg Yo, Anuel AA, and producers including Timbaland and Madlib, too.

Ableton Live is an industry-standard digital audio workstation designed with live performance in mind. Electronic music producers and artists of all genres have used Ableton Live to compose, record, arrange, mix, master, and perform their tracks since its initial release in 2001. The ability to bring one’s tracks to the stage in the same DAW used to create them with Ableton’s software and hardware integration is one of a kind.

In this Collective Masters Live, Motif Alumni will use Ableton Live to share his creative process, show project files from some of his best-known tracks, and create a track from scratch. Additionally, an Ableton representative will join him to interact with the audience in person and on the live stream.
